Editable Images in Cyberimpact

Have you ever used our image editor? Many of the images in our templates are editable.

For example: you like the colours but not the background image? Choose another one from our image bank. Our coupon doesn’t show the right promotion? Change the text in seconds.

In short, we offer quick layouts you can adapt to your needs and edit as often as you like, without using an external tool.

In this article, we offer a short tutorial to show you how simple it is to go from this to that:

Before you start

Are all images editable?

All images created in our image editor are. Each element is saved with its properties on a separate layer, so you can edit them as often as you like.

Of course, images that weren’t created in our tool don’t contain this information. If you open them in the editor, there will only be two layers: the background and the (flattened) image. If you add elements, they will be saved and your layout will remain editable.

P.S. Not all the images in our templates are editable, although we try to make as many of them editable as possible.

A simple tutorial to discover the editor

1. Open the image editor

Choose the template from our example to get started. Once you’re in the email editor, click the image block, then click the Edit image button to open the image editor.

2. Change the colours of shapes

Select a shape by clicking it in the preview or clicking its element in the layer list.

By clicking the colour swatch in the properties bar, you can change the colour of shapes, lines and text. Use the palette or enter a hex or RGB code for more precision.

Shapes can have borders: you can also change their colour and stroke width. To remove them completely, set the stroke width to 0.

3. Change the background colour

Click the layer that represents the background to select it. Choose a colour in the properties bar. You can also make the background transparent by clicking the icon at the far right of its layer.

4. Replace the background photo

First, delete the current photo by clicking the trash icon on its layer. Then click the image icon in the Tools menu, next to the layer list, and choose one of 3 options:

  • Upload
  • My images
  • Image bank

If you want to recreate our example, here’s the image we used.

The image will be added on top of the other elements. To reorder it, click and drag its layer to the position you want.

5. Adjust the text

Double-click a text box in the preview to select all of its content. Enter new text, for example: PROMOTION.

To enlarge or shrink an element, the easiest way is to select it and then use the blue handles to adjust it.

To re-centre the text, set its alignment in the properties bar, then in the Layout menu, choose the Centre option.

Tip: the side handles control the width, while the corner handles change the size while keeping the proportions.

Save the image and exit the editor to see it appear in your email. Something to fix? Click the Edit image button again to make your adjustments: everything can still be edited and re-edited as often as you like.
